If you cycle the new tank or move all of his current water/decorations (if there are decorations) over to the new tank then there should be no problems.

I'm from Newcastle just up the road.

You'll have to post some pictures of Simon :)

Hi Angie,

Wow, you raised your first axie from an egg, how cool! You've definitely been doing everything right up to now so if your new tank has been cycled, the levels are all within limits, temp is good, no gravel ;-), and you've been using the advice of this forum, you should be fine! If you have any questions, just ask! Great job and we look forward to hearing more about Simon!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
