I near my home I have several seasonal pools where fairy shrimp breed each year at this time. I caught some, and I want to raise them. It needed a period of desiccation for the eggs to hatch, but when I lower the water level to drain the container? fairy shrimp lay their eggs on the bottom and then dries the container, or should be dry with the animals still alive and their eggs? give spirulina as food only okay? other foods can be offered?

Greetings and thanks

They should lay eggs on an ongoing basis but the adults usually die because their ponds are short lived. As for feeding, I believe any kind of algae would be fine - you could try yeast too.
