Hey everyone,
I thought I come over and introduce myself. My name is Evelyn and I live just outside Concord California. I am interested in getting more into field herping and what not. I work at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, so I have been getting more involved with animals. I have quiet a few reptiles. I first came to this site, because at my first reptile show I picked up a yellow spotted salamander and had only a little information about how to care for him. So yeah, his name is Wilbur. I also own a white's tree frog named shamrock.
In the future i would like to own an amazon milk frog, and fire belly toads. So you can see I'm kinda interested in everything having to due with the hobby of herping. :D
Thanks for listening
Evelyn

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
