Have been watching our newbie and have not managed to catch her eating much, she ate a couple of bloodworms and brine shrimp. Tried her on little worm but she just spat it out.

I know with Mo Mo it took her a couple of days before she started to eat.

Any ideas anyone??

I'm pretty sure it's the same with this one, just needs a few days to settle in. As Bellabelloo said in your other thread, he is looking a bit thin so you'll really need to work on plumping this one up!

He's taking something for you so that's good. Not sure what you mean by "little worm" but if this is an earthworm/nightcrawler, you can try soaking it first before offering it to see if that helps.

hi wendy
you could cut up a earthworm and mix it with some bloodworms and maybe try and trick her/him.

Little worm is small earthworm I found Shannon. Yes i know I need to plump her up but fingers crossed it wont take long.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
