I wanted to let you guys know about a glorified turkey baster I recently bought called "The Snail Sucker".
It was created as the name implies to remove snails from aquariums. But it works fantastic for cleaning up after axolotls. It sucks up uneaten pellets and even the largest of poo very nicely.
I used to use a regular turkey baster but I still had to put my arm in the water. The snail sucker is long enough that I can suck from the bottom of a 40 gallon tank and still have my hand above water.
