Becoming a member of this forum is an adventure into a new world I never, ever thought I would be a part of....and it all started with a tortoise. Critters of one sort or another have always been a part of my life and after the usual ordinary pets I wanted something different. I became curious about a tortoise at a pet store and bought it. This led to various other turtles and then I found out dart frogs were available to ordinary people. This led to various frogs including D. auratus. Mentored by an amphibian expert where I volunteer I am slowly being sucked into the world of salamanders and newts. Aye, I have met the indomitable Sludgemunkey on Frogforum and after a paper he wrote. So, we shall see where this watery safari will lead.
