how big is the axie??

When I first got mine he was like 11-12 cm and he used to swim a lot more and sometimes his tail was also floating, he would go to the ground and his middle back would point towards the surface, but it was temporary, maybe for a few hours and then it would be ok again.

If he eats normally I would think it's something that happens to juveniles.

i've looked for ammonia test kits at my local pet shops but cant find them. guess i'll have to shop online. He is no longer floating anymore, hopefully it wont happen again but i'll get an ammonia test kit asap.
Thanks.

Its the start of winter here, and it sits at 16-17 Celsius,

am off to check another pet shop shortly to see what they have, he specialises in aquariums so hopefully he has those test kits i need.

my male axie is still okay today, I got home from work and there both waiting in their feeding spot for lunch, both there heads popped up when i walked in the room. sooo cute

also I have noticed his tail floating twice over the last week and it seems to be after feeding. I will test it out now am going to feed the little buggers.

Cheers,
Nina
