Hi, i was just posting a couple of pics in another forum and thought i might as well take the opportunity to officially (and finally) introduce my Lampropeltis triangulum sinaloae to this forum xD
I´ve had her for about 6 years, her name is Morrigan, and she is a doll, except when it´s time to eat, when her bipolar disorder becomes apparent (although i swear she is just picky on purpose to spite me).

About three years ago i was feeling a bit DIY-starved and decided to make an "exercise tree" so that she could climb and stretch while i kept an eye on her. When i had a tiny terrace, it was brilliant because i could place it in a spot where it received direct sun only on half of it, and that way she could bask (which she obviously loved...sometimes i was even half expecting some purring).

Anyway, no sun anymore, but she still enjoys getting some exercise, so she gets some climbing and exploring every now and then.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
