Hello, everyone! I have a question about PSB (Purple Non Sulfur Bacteria). A friend of mine told me that PSB improves water quality and reduces ammonia, he also said that it makes fish healthier. I was wondering if it`s really so and if it`s good for axolotls.
I`ve got a bottle of PSB, but haven`t put any of it in the tank yet, just want to be sure about its safety and effectiveness. Does anyone know anything about PSB or use it:confused:?

There is a difference between PSB and PNSB.
I've heard of it (PNSB) being used in fish food (I think to enhance color) but never to improve water quality. I know it can cause Blooms if there are an abundance of nutrients and can be anaerobic. I hate that word so I'd avoid it like the plague.
I think good husbandry is the way to get clear water
