Hello all!
It's not really an urgent or important question, but I have two beautiful male axolotls (One 5 inches, one 5.5 inches) who seem to be the best of friends. Their names are Marshall and Maynard, and wherever one goes, the other goes. I've read that they should be kept separate during feedings, but these two share the same brine shrimp chunk willingly. Even though they have the entire tank to roam, Marshall has decided that the best place to chill is sitting on Maynard. The only fight I've ever seen them have was when Marshall stepped on Maynard's face while he was climbing down. I was just wondering if this is even remotely normal, because everything I've read indicates that it's not.
Also, Marshall does a "happy handstand" where he wings his back legs out when he's in a good mood (i.e., before and after dinner time, when I get home). Maynard doesn't do it. I'd attach a picture, but unfortunately all of the space in my brain has been consumed by random animal knowledge and I can't seem to figure out how to do it. ;
Thanks, and have an amazing pet-filled day!
