mine is about 17-18 and he's hungry all the time
I give him earthworms (one everyday except for maybe 1 or 2 days a week) and reptomin pellets sometimes.
He's not fat though...
Most Axolotl are pig's! my young juvie will eat absolutely everything I offer him, I once accidentally put every bodies food in his tank and he munched it all down!
As you look at your Axolotl from above you want there head and body to be same width...do not be fooled by the begging!
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
