Does anybody feed their Axies live fish?

I'm very curious about this, I heard you can feed guppies?

Thanks :D

Hiya
Yes some people do feed them guppies.
If you do decide to do this you will need a quarantine tank for them to stay in for 30 days before introducing them into your axie tank.
They are just a treat though not a staple food. (which is earthworm)

Also keep an eye out for them tormenting the axies (nibbling their gills)

Thanks for the reply Mel :)

Thing is, I breed Guppies for a hobby and although I love them, they won't stop breeding so I wondered......

Could I possibly use some in the future?

Hi, if they are your own fish then you dont need to quarantine. There is always a risk of spreading disease when using feeder fish.
I would start with a few first, in case they dont eat them and also in case they eat too may lol.

I have a few regular orange guppies I bought as feeders in another tank. They keep breeding. I toss a few in for my 4 Axolotls every week just to give the Axies something to do. By then end of the week they are always gone.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
