Please join us for the 3rd annual Halifax Reptile Expo!

Location: McInnes Room, Dalhousie Student Union Building, 6136 University Avenue, Halifax, NS


Stop by to purchase your new reptilian pet or obtain husbandry information on your next exotic species; it is a rare opportunity to buy morphs and species that are not commonly available in pet stores and meet the breeders. Stock up on insect or rodent feeders and buy enclosures, supplements and reptile supplies at amazing rock-bottom prices! Have your picture taken with a reptile or join your children in coloring and games in the Children's Corner. There will be something for everyone and fun for the whole family! A variety of informative seminars pertaining to reptile enthusiasts and hobbyists will be scheduled throughout the day. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Admission: Adults $5.00, children ages 14 and under $2.00

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
