Hello all! Long time no posting!

I broke my laptop, and had no internet connection so posting from work now!

Just thought i'd give you an update about my little monster Gomez. He seems happier and more lively than ever always swimming about and saying hello to anyone whos near the tank, he's grown another couple of inches since last time I posted pictures he's now very close to 11inches from nose to tip of tail and shows no signs of stopping! He has also turned into abit of a goth and painted his finger nails black (at least he hasnt started with the guyliner!) theres only 2 fingers that still have white tips! He has also fully mastered the art of catching fish, he can ambush them or chase them down now if he wants to (even those lightning fast zebra danios!) he has also developed the technique of kicking up all the sand to catch fish (I dont know why or how but it seems to work for him!) maybe the fish get confused because they cant see? Either way its great to watch!

I am still yet to run into any problems with him, hes just so loveable and seems so happy with everything Ive done for him!

I shall post up some pictures of the little beast when I get home bout 6'oclock!

Thanks everyone for your loverly comments and messages about Gomez its nice to know Gomez is as special as I think he is! I just wont tell him all the flattering comments his head is already huge!

Gomez has missed everyone and their axie friends he shall say hello later!

Gotta brush up on my photo skills, need to get Gomez into that calender I keep hearing about! (thanks for the idea hayley!) Gomez will be a STAR!!!!!!!

Photos coming shortly!!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
