Hi Guys,

Who are your favourite Aquarium plant suppliers and why?

Online or storefront - Doesn't matter

Mine of course is.... ME, well hubby anyway, we sell them online and from the hothouse within Australia but commercial links are a no no on here :D

Otherwise if you want good plants in Western Australia from an actual aquarium store I'd go with Vebas (towards Fremantle) and Aquotix in Canningvale Chris @ aquotix is a plant NUT and if you're after something different that that's the place to go but both keep an EXCELLENT range of well looked after plants.

When I get plants for my tanks I just buy them from the local pet shop. I normally have fake plants because the axies destroy them and the goldfish in the other tank eats them. It gets a bit pricey replacing them all the time.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
