Hi - my first time on this site. I currently have 8 axolotls, five of which are looking at me as I type this. Two adult albinos (male and female), a female adult wild type and five albino juveniles raised from eggs this spring. My eventual plan is to get a mixture of albinos, wild type and golden leucistics, so I'm here partly to see if I can get hold of any wild type or leucistic spawn. I know it's crazy, but I love these little critters, and it's good to talk to people that understand....

Hello from Buckinghamshire :) Welcome to the forum am pretty sure someone on here wil be able to help you with some spawn! Good luck

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
