Hi All, my axies seem to be growing very quickly but there heads are not larger than theire bodies but I am still feeding them every day and wondered at what size do you start going to every other day and then 3-4 times daily??

My 2 bigger ones are 6+ inches and my smallest one is 5+ inches.

Thanks for your help

They are looking really good  I would be tempted to feed them alternate days now.

Thanks Julia :D Mojo is just amazing he has come on so much and Jabba is not far behind, Finley is just small bless him quite funny considering him & mojo were the same size when bought and Mojo looks like a monster next to him now. Thanks for your help x

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
