My axie gets diarrhea quite often and I was told it could be from the live tubifex/bloodworms that he eats. Would it be ok for me to switch from live worms to frozen ones?

It would be perfectly fine but I question that persons knowledge. I never heard of them getting diarrhea. I experienced the opposite with my newts when I fed them to much blood worms. Mine got constipated when used as a staple. I honestly cant see a difference taking place.

I would start off by checking other things like water temperature and nitrites and ammonia.

I feed my Axies some earth worms and some chopped shrimp with tongs.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
