Question: Axie eggs larvae

i have recently had some layed and are my first batch and according to reading , all you need is an air-stone to keep the water oxygenated . however on the larvae i suppose a small filter could be used , however there is the chance the babies get sucked in . i would personaly just siphon the waste with a turkey baster :D

An airpump is okay.

I dont use filters or air pumps on my larvae or eggs.

I do daily water changes.

We used an airstone in half of our eggs and nothing in the other half. We did daily water changed on both and I really didn't see a difference then or now.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
