I have been working on moving my axies to the basement, while they have not made it there yet progress is being made, well was being made until i sprung a leak.
The next stage after the leak is fixed is to figure out the bottom and the plants.
The tanks they are currently in are mainly bare bottom with a few peices of slate here and there. Is this ok? Or would I be better off with more pieces of slate/ rock and covering the whole bottom?
And one plant question - The final tanks for the axies is going to be dark and only recieving about 4-6 hours a day of low light. Is there any kinds of plants I am going to be able to grow in their tank? Or am I going to have to add some kind of other lighting if I want to do plants?
