Hello! My name is Lesley and my 2 adult Spanish ribbed newts have recently become parents! I have about forty little newts now.
The female died yesterday and I don't know why and I don't know how to care for the baby newts either!
They are in a separate tank and I have been feeding them bloodworm.
I took these two newts on from someone who couldn't look after them and was assured they were both male... hmmm lol.
I also have an Axolotyl called Barry and three ferrets.

Welcome to the forum. Information on how to care for juveniles is easy to come by. Good luck!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
