Well ive talked alot about my  of all thing aquatic.

Ive got 22 tanks and a bunch of live food culturing containers going.

Even have 4 containers with a bunch of axies larvae in the :D

Heres my latest conquest of breeding angel fish and having them parent raise their fry long enough to get them free swimming for a few days before the stress got them to fighting between themselves.

oooh, that's cool. congratulations.

i recently got a pair of central american chiclids, (archocentrus nanoleutus), and they made every indication that they were going to breed, the female disappeared into a cave, several days passed, several more, a couple weeks, but I never saw any fry . . . :(

Just more proof that I am useless when it comes to fishkeeping. Somehow newts seems so much easier to me.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
