Aging water?

I remembered hearing somewhere that it's good to "age" water before putting it in the axolotl's tank, by adding the normal dechlorinator and letting it sit for at least a day. I know that this can help ensure that the temperature is the same for the tank and the new water, but I didn't know if there are any other reasons behind this, and if it is necessary.

My reasoning is that I only have one bucket, and the tank is too far away from a sink/drain for me to siphon the wastewater out there, so I can't have new water ready to immediately replace the old water. If, after removing some of the old water, I refill the bucket, dechlorinate the water, and make sure the temperatures match, would it be safe to put it in the tank without waiting the 1+ days? the It's only a minor inconvenience, so it's no biggie if the water needs to be aged.

aging is not necessary at all. I usually put the dechlorinator in the bucket stir it up, and then I usually wait a few minutes to put it in the tank just to make sure everythings settled in, but you don't need to wait a day. I usually just feel with my hand to make sure the temp difference isn't too big
