Hi
Please could anyone tell me if it would be ok to feed my axolotl Lotie on bloodworm pellet as I have just seen these I didn't know they done bloodworm like this. I only want to feed Lotie food that is good for her so don't want to give her these if it is not a good idea.
Also could anyone help me as I would like to put Lotie as my profile pic but can't see anything about this on my profile page.
Regards

As Eric says earthworms should be the staple diet and are the best food for your axie but variety is also nice every now and again for a change! I use earthworms/shrimp pellets once a week to vary things every now and again and get my axie to swim to the surface for them from tweezers :)

If you mean bloodworm pellets as in dry food, I saw them on eBay + tried them for my axies, since the pellets I was already giving them occasionally were so popular with them, but I guess they don't have much of a smell, as they were completely ignored!
Still got them kicking around, so I can send you some to try if you like, before you buy any - just PM your address to me + I'll get a little sample sent to you on Tuesday ;)

I assumed you meant frozen bloodworm cubes...If that's not what you were referring to then I'm not sure what a bloodworm pellet is.

Hi Mojo
That would be great thank you.
I will pm you my address

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
