Other than Ragen, is there any other place that offers the Salmon pellets in larger quanities?

Thank you.

I actually would not mind buying a 40 lb bag but I am having a hard time getting them to answer any questions regarding price, shipping, etc.

I'm no longer exporting pellets or salamanders. I'm still selling in the U.S. Rangen is your best bet. I sell for 8.00 per 10 oz. The only discount I give for bulk is a flat rate shipping charge of 6.00 per order for 3 or more bags.

If you are unable to get the Rangen brand pellets you can also try Aquamax trout chow. They offer both floating and sinking pellets. The nutritional analysis for both are below for comparison...

Aquamax trout chow:

crude protein 41%
crude fat 12%
crude fiber 4%
calcium 1.90%
phosphorus 1.15%

Rangen soft moist:
Protein....44%
Fat....18%
Fiber.....<5%
Ash......<8%

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
