 Hi; i'm new here, i brought my grandson two warty newts for his birthday. I never knew they can be so fascinating

we are now seeking to buy some more but dont know where to get them from; is there a breeders list on this site or does anyone here know if there is breeder near my area?

look forward to finding out more about these fascinating creatures!

Hey Babs :)

I know, being on this forum, I'm getting quite eager to get some newts as well as my axies!

The for sale and giveaway section on the forum is great, or you can post a wanted ad, too. Might help you find a local breeder :)

Welcome to the board!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
