Hi everyone

My name is John my partners is Melissa and we have a 9 year old boy Jordan.
We have got lots of Reptiles but this is our first attempt at axolotles, we have just aquired an adult and have now bought some eggs and hope to grow them on, 4 have hatched so far, and any advice would be great, my partner is taking over the axolotls whil i have the job of lookin after the zoo lol. i am on face book as is my partner, my contact is stokiejohn2004@yahoo.co.uk, my partners is, ozgirl2009@yahoo.co.uk our reptile pics are mainly on mine if you care to look, thats about it for now tc all be safe

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
