My Abraham of recent has taken to the classic "impaction" pose. His back feet won't be completely off the ground sometimes but his tail is lifting up. He has only just started doing this since going the new tank... (Marilyn is completely fine) I have fine sand on the bottom of the tank and there is nothing he could have swollowed to cause this. Is it worth a spell in the fridge just to be sure, or could it be just a new trick he's figured out?? He only seems to do it after swimming around and then returning back to the bottom.....

they can sometimes seem more "buoyant" before they do poop, I know my axie seems to be, she was this morning and I came home from work to several "presents" at the bottom of the tank.

is your axie still eating? and if so, what do you feed it?

Mine get more bouyant at the back end before a poop sometimes too. Curious though how long since he moved to the new tank and was there anything in the old tank he could have swallowed. I only ask because of the rocks in your avatar. It can take a little time sometimes for rocks to actually cause a problem after being ingested. If there's no risk from the old tank I'd say it's a new "trick" just keep an eye on it.

I have noticed that Cookie tends to handstand when it is time for food. I feed her and she goes back to normal.

Abes is still eating (he'd eat till he exploded if I let him!) he dines on earthworms. He left me a lovely "pressie" in the tank this morn so he's definitely not impacted.... I guessing its just a new thing hes trying!
The rocks in my avatar are gone, they were large (huge infact) river rocks... A pain for keeping the tank clean I soon discovered!
Thanks heaps everyone
