I got a bunch of eggs hatching in roughly 2 weeks, from what I have read I do not have time to culture my own daphnia is there a quick alternative or a reliable online store I can buy live Daphnia from? Thanks for the help!

You can get your daphnia culture rolling in that time. Daphnia should start reproducing within a week actually. Daphnia

You can also plan on doing a brine shrimp hatchery as back up. They only take 24 hours for them to hatch.

I started a daphnia culture with as soon as I found eggs. However I had a higher than expected success rate with my eggs and most of the daphnia species were too big for their little mouths so supplies were soon scarse. I had brine shrimp bubbling away in my shed but they didn't hatch because of lack of light/ heat. I now have half a coke bottle hanging in a carrier bag, an air line through the cap with the smallest/ chaepest air pump you can get. I also had a lamp on it for heat/ light. I now have thousands of shrimp and the axies are happy with fat bellies. The shrimp will die in fresh water after several hours though and you have to be carefull not to add salt water to your axies, whereas the daphnia will happily swim around till they are munched. I'm a newbie at this as well but it seems to be working so far. Hope this helps.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
