Hi i was wandering if any body knows if they sell axolotls at reptile expos? There will be a Reptile expo in vegas in 2 weeks and i just want to know if any one has been to one and if you have? do they sell axolotls ?:D

They should, but I've seen where there is an axolotl breeder that lives in Vegas:

Exotic Pets LLC
2410 N. Decatur #160
Las Vegas NV 89108
(702) 631-7387

What?? U sure because ive been ther lots of times and the olny thing close to an axolotl is Tiger salamander larvave:happy:

They post a lot on kingsnake.com carrying many different colors of axxies. It may be something you have to ask for.

i have been to reptile expos in Illinois and they almost always had axolotls and way more affordable prices than that of the pet shop

Oh I wish I lived somewhere that had reptile expo's... australia is so lame

yeah just pay the entry fee and its like being in a giant reptile petting zoo... where if you have enough money you can take the exhibits home with you....

i bought my first duckling from the reptile swap.... i love ducks

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
