Welcome!! That sounds a lot like my story. I'm a Zoology major at University of New Hampshire, and we worked with axolotl embryos in a lab. Our controls would be euthanized if we didn't take them home (covertly), and so I ended up with an axolotl. LOL They really are lovely animals, mine's almost 2 months old now and has quite the personality. My best advice to you would be to LIVE on this site, read tons of threads, take notes, and listen to the pros on here. They know what they're talking about, and can give great advice. Also check out axolotl.org, that has a lot of great basic info. Feel free to ask any questions (you won't be yelled at), and again, welcome to the forum!!
