Looks 100% healthy! Good work!

That's great! I hadn't read your past threads but it seems as though Tequila has been through a lot. S/He is lucky to have a caring owner like you to nurse him/her back to health like that. Good on you! :)

and her gills have grown back.

Haven't they just!!! What gorgeous gills!

S/he does look so much better, i'm really glad :) Keep an eye on her with that lump under her chin but hopefully whatever it was that was wrong is healing.

Thanks for the update, I'm happy to see her look so much better.

She looks fabulous! You've done an amazing job with her over the past few months. It's soo good to see her doing so well now.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
