Is it dangerous?

I bought some frozen bloodworm the other day, on the way home I nipped into a shop, long story short, I ended up getting a job and doing 4 hours training. Got home and put the defrosted bloodworm into the freezer. They now smell absolutely foul. sort of like rotten eggs. I've put them in water to defrost them again and then rinse them well but they are just white once they have been rinsed.
Are they dangerous for my axies or should they be fine? The babies are happily munching away on them and don't seem to mind.

Well done on the job! Did you not start to smell like defrosting bloodworm halfway through the training? ;)
