At what age do u start cutting down on axies feeding, the babies are about 6 weeks now and feed them twice a day with blood worm and daphnia? do i start cutting down to once a day now?? or carry on as normal ?

and they keep spitting out the axie pellets is this because they are not ready to eat non live food yet?

I feed my bigger ones on bloodworm and a little of daphnia as a treat, i feed them loads, i find mine will eat til full then 30 mins later eat more, or try fill them up with worms then give some daphnia as something to eat later on.

and with the pellets, i cut them into really small pieces and let them swell up abit i get mine to eat tiny bits then but they seem to not like them,, keep trying them though :D

They could certainly be cut back to one feeding per day.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
