Hey Guys

Sorry its been a while since I've been lurking around, been busy this week!

But today I picked up my new addition to my axie family.

Say hello to the little fella!:

:D

P.S There were no melanoids! Just a really dark black one who looked like one until I saw it had a few spots like a wildtype!

Awww, that's like one of those magic eye pictures... Where you squint and strain and then a picture of an axolotl appears.

Very lovely. Officially jealous. More piccies please!

Hehe! Thanks guys! I'm going to try and take some more piccies when it isn't sitting on its sand!

My other axie in my massive tank went and sat in it's jar with its back to me. Maybe someone is a little jealous :p

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
