Earlier tonight my new axolotl started vomiting and I’m not sure what to do about it. He hasn’t eaten for about 24 hours and the last thing he ate were bloodworms (which is what he vomited up), he first vomited about 10 minutes ago and then started doing what looked like dry heaving for another minute or two, he’s not doing it anymore as far as I can tell but I’d like to figure out what caused it so I can keep it from happening again. He’s on sand and I use a feeding jar so I don’t think he’s impacted and the temperature usually stays below 68 F. I’ve had him for a little over a month now and haven’t had any trouble with him so far. He’s always been a pretty healthy eater and aside from vomiting I can’t see anything physically wrong with him.
I feel so bad for the poor little guy so any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!
