So last night I took one last look in the alpine morphs' tank to make sure all the kids were sleeping peacefully - and what do I see??? :(

needless to say, I took their car keys away and they are all grounded for a month.

Will they stumble in to find an Oma Molch in breeding plumage?

lol - Oma and her fine haberdashery have vacated the premises, so I guess the kiddos celebrated having the room to themselves again....Oma did leave a couple of unfinished wine bottles.....

xDD
Man, that water is going to stink tomorrow....
My pyrrhogaster juvies do much the same, i think i spotted one hiding a bag of recreational bloodworm powder once.
If i were you i´d have a word with them...who gives a party without food??

That's cute but who is the bad influence on whom?

I'm afraid that has to be Oma Molch. Before Oma moved in, these kids did not know how to uncork a wine bottle. They learned nothin' but pure living from me.

I'm going to have a serious talk with Oma....

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
