Hi all,
As the title already let you know i'm french (and know you know why i'll wrote a lot of mistake in english...).

So i'm new on this community but not that much in caudata's breeding, I had a few of them by the past, but for now i only have 3 Ambystoma mexicanum. It will change as soon i i find a good way to find others species ;-)

What else about me ?
Well i bread quit a lot of animals, mostly invertebrates (from triops to tarentula threw phasmids) a few fish and some amphibian.
But, unfortunately, I had to stop every thing a few years ago, and now i'm back with just some :
Poecilia wingei (Endler's)
Neocaridina heteropoda (the wild type of the red cherry srimp)
And my 3 Ambystoma mexicanum (the reason why i'm here !)

So see you in the forum !

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
