I left my axy in the care of my mOm while I went to nc I missed him so much and on the way home I saw a car with "AXY" on the tag. I felt so bad for not bringing him with me lol

I know how you feel, when I went away last, I was constantly worrying about my little marshmallows!

I'm sure your axie will be safe and happy with your mother, you made the right choice rather than trawling him along with you!

Have a good holiday, may your axie be safe and miss you!

Aww, I'm sure he misses you too. :) I was telling my boyfriend how I can't wait to have my own car so I could load it with axolotl bumper stickers haha!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
