I have had great success with cycling my 100 liter (26.4 gallon) tank in just 14 days! I am super excited and wanted to tell all of you how i did it. It was SO simple.
Basically i added a heater and kept it on 25 to 30 degrees C, added live plants, seeded filter media and pond water from an established tank/pond, added 3 little gold fish and used a powderd bacteria used to cycle ponds.
The axolotls were not in the tank for this 14 day cycle due to the high temps. But they will be going back in this weekend
The tank looks amazing and in such a short amount of time! YAY!!!!
Needless to say, I have a 2nd tank under construction for back-up water (or tempory home) should the larger tank spike in the future
