Has anybody dealt with this before?

I think one of my newbies might have, the front right is always resting against her and if it does get used (not v often) it looks weird.

Re: Boken Leg??

can you tell if it is a joint problem or definitely bone?
just wondering

if it is bone, I know your not supposed to really touch axies, and probably nearly impossible to do this without her going crazy anyway, but im guessing it would heal faster and better if you could attach something to it to keep it straight and reduce further damage if she does try using it?
but I broke my toe a few weeks ago so I guess im still in lolly stick and tape mode
not viable for little axies

it is a very strange angle though, looks like a dislocation or something, good luck!

Been watching s/he tonight and I'm not actually sure its a broken bone now,

I think it's more of a deformity, she can use it but it just looks like its back to front or upside down or something, very un natural :/

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
