Hey everyone,

I'm new here and currently own a axolotl called Zor :) i brought him yesterday after researching for quite some time and I'm already inlove with him. I think this site is great and i got alot of information from you guys so thank you sooo much. look forward to talking to you all.

Hey there,

I'm glad that you were able to find lots of good and useful information. This site is one of the best out there and you really can't find another resource that has such a wide variety of easily accessable information. It is really handy.

I can't wait to see some threads on Zor and hear about your experiences owning him. I have always loved axies and someday I plan to get one myself :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
