Thanks everyone! I am slowly adding more live plants to green it up a little more. :) But I am also saving for a holiday so money is a little tight..

Carson. not sure if it's a coral tank or not.. I got it for $50 second hand. The last owner said she got it from a pet store.. Someone ordered it specially made then never collected it..? Bizarre huh? She had axies in it too.. but with GOLDFISH!!! I was like :O NOOOOOO!

It's to better use now though :) My 3 love it!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
