she has been eating for about 2 weeks and 2 days ago I successfully force- feed her. But now there is something SUPER STRANGE happening

All of sudden, just 1 single night, her toes seem degenerating !!! I am not if she is being infected by bacteria or fungus, ?!! I have totally no idea, it was there the day before but they appeared from no where while she is still in her hospital tub in fridge !!

and there is some weird light yellowish green discharge from her cloaca.

plz kindly go the this album to see her symptoms and give me some advice. Thank you!

P.S. I hv been doing salt bath and fridge about 4- 5 days.

I had a problem with fungus when I placed my axies in the fridge. I did everything like the description said and did daily water changes but their feet all ended up covered with fungus. Maybe it's the same thing? I hope it's not. Our fridge is somehow acting pretty weird.

Are you doing daily water changes (with dechlorinated water?)

About the greenish weird discharge. I once had an axie that pooped green, she had internal parasites. Not saying that it's the same and I won't scare you, but I'll just keep an eye on it and see if some normal poo comes out.

Glad she's eating again. Lovely axie too.

I'll also continue doing the salt baths. Is there any sign of improvement?

Thanks for your quick reply Morrison :]

It looks very much like what you said but hopefully it is not *finger crossed* I do water changed every time after i give her a salt bath (morning and evening) with water conditioned water. I have seen not sign of improvements so far :[ she looks worse and worse somehow

I am not sure if she has parasite or not, I have Kiwi for a year and more. She used to be fine without any symptoms of sickness. But she came from a pet shop with lots of axies in one tank, don't know if she would have caught some parasite. My other axie in the tank with her looks fine and healthy. So it shouldnt be the water issue I guess ?!

By the way, I had a look at the Axolotls- Health and Diseases page... Is there any recommendation for medication in this case?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
