Hay guys,
I've had Sunny my golden albino male for 2 and a bit years now and he lives in luxury in a large 3ft tank thats planted with plenty of hides, with a chiller at 16 degrees with an earthworm diet. Lately hes been floating a bit and has been searching his tank quite a bit. I am not one for humanizing animals and believe that Axolotls are solitary and do not need mates but I was wondering if anyone who has had quite a few years experience can tell me if they have the brain capacity to be bored? I was considering purchasing another axolotl simply because he seems to be so bored and it will stimulate day to day life. They are always able to move around their environment but in captivity we keep them in the one place so not sure if it would provide some mental stimulation for him.
Thanks in advance!
Blaze.
