A new species of Lyciasalamandra, L.irfani, was described earlier this year from
Göynük Canyon, near the ranges of L.billae and L.antalyana. It was differentiated by serum proteins, coloration, and morphometry.
This forum would appear to be the most relevant area for Mertensiella, Chioglossa, and Lyciasalamandra subjects.
The journal this was published in is open access and has a fair number of herpetological papers. North-Western Journal of Zoology - Journal Home
