Hello all,
My name is Erica and I am a recently graduated veterinary technician. At the practice I work at I recently acquired a salamander..Not to sure which kind other than it is a mole salamander. I found the Caudata site for information about this little creature, because other than briefly having a newt, I know very little about salamanders. I am finding this all very fascinating and informative.

Also my salamander was hibernating and is now wide awake. I have tried to feed it wax worms and crickets without success, any suggestions?

Earthworms. A nice wiggly nightcrawler is hard for any salamander to turn down. I saw the pics, and I'd say I'm 90% sure it's a tiger. Spotted sals don't have patterning like that on their legs.
