Our family fell in love with a picture of a little axie last year doing research on amphibians and reptiles. After finding out exactly what we'd need we finally got one a few weeks ago. Jörmungandr is a wild type about 3 inches long and we absolutely love him. We'll be getting a white albino soon and really look forward to maybe getting more in the future.
I'm so glad I found this forum with so much great information! Jörm is a very active and hungry little guy (we're just assuming boy for now...) and my daughters love watching him swim and crawl around. Everyone's beautiful tanks here are really inspiring, and while ours is pretty simple right now, we look forward to adding plants and such soon.
I need to work on taking good pictures, it's especially hard because his tank isn't in a very well lit area. I've already started practicing some of the tips here.
