i recently introduce nightcrawlers to my salamander ive been feeding her half a worm every 2 days and i was wondering if thats good or should i feed her a whole worm or feed her more often. shes a 5 and half to 6 inch long eastern tiger salamander i just want to make sure im feeding her right.

I have a 7-8 inch Tiger and I feed her two worms ("Trout Worms", about 3 inches long) about every 3 days. They can be very greedy and beg often, and it's no problem to give them a little extra once in a while.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
