Hello i think my cynops orientalis has started to lay eggs. i have three newts no idea on sex.there are two eggs both are wrapped in a different leaf. they have a clear outer (egg white) and a white yoke. are these fertile? question two. the other newts are beggining to find there whearabouts and bite in the general vacinity. i want to remove them and since i use evian water this shouldnt be a problem right? do I use tank water or just new evian? i will put the two eggs in a 5gallon what are the requirements do they need plants in there? or can i just exchange evian water every few days? dont mind buying the water and as its what the eggs have been concieved in best stick to it right? ok i hope the first answer isnt no and i am not getting excited over nothing. thank you

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
